The Health Care Financing Administration (HCFA) has launched a series of education and training programs designed to leverage emerging Internet and satellite technologies to offer just-in-time training to Medicare providers and suppliers throughout the United States. These programs include free downloadable computer based training courses and the delivery of live satellite broadcast training presentations.
1. The goal of the Adult Immunization
course is to help you better understand the importance of adult immunizations
and identify ways to increase the immunization rates in the healthcare community.
2. The Womens Health
course is meant to increase awareness of womens health benefits
that are covered by Medicare.
3. World of Medicare is an introduction
to the Medicare program.
4. ICD-9-CM Coding instructs
you in the proper use of the ICD-9-CM manual for correct diagnosis coding.
5. Medicare Fraud & Abuse
emphasizes the prevention and early detection of fraud and abuse.
6. Front Office Management provides
essential knowledge needed for "checking in" Medicare patients.
7. Medicare Secondary Payer (MSP)
provides basic information about the MSP program.
8. HCFA-1500 provides
essential information required to properly complete the HCFA-1500 claim
form.
9. HCFA-1450 or UB-92 provides
essential information required to properly complete the HCFA-1450 claim
form.
10. Home Health Agency emphasizes
the guidelines that providers must follow when dealing with Home Health
Agencies.
After downloading and installing to a personal computer (Windows 95, 98, or NT, only), you may take as long as you wish to complete each course. You may also complete the courses as often as you like.
