CONSTRUCTION CONTRACTORS BOARD

NEW CONSUMER NOTIFICATION FORM TO BE REQUIRED SOON, SUMMARY TO BE ELIMINATED

Starting October 22, 1999, contractors will be required by law to give a copy of the  Consumer Notification form to all prospective clients or customers at the time of the bid or proposal on a residential project.

The form is one-sided so it easily can be photocopied on the back of your bid form or proposal.

The purpose of the form is to educate consumers about the importance of hiring a registered contractor. The Consumer Notification requirement was passed by the 1999 Legislature.

Providing a Summary: Oregon Construction Contractors Law to all residential clients is no longer a requirement starting October 22.
