NEW CONSUMER NOTIFICATION FORM TO BE REQUIRED SOON, SUMMARY TO BE ELIMINATED Starting October 22, 1999, contractors will be required by law to give a copy of
the Consumer
Notification form to all prospective clients or customers at the time of the
bid or proposal on a residential project. The form is one-sided so it easily can be photocopied on the back of your bid
form or proposal. The purpose of the form is to educate consumers about the importance of hiring a
registered contractor. The Consumer Notification requirement was passed by
the 1999 Legislature. Providing a Summary:
Oregon Construction Contractors Law to all residential clients is no longer a
