Our Department

BPD Off-Road Motorcycle UnitThe Berkeley Police are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Depending on the time of day, no fewer than twelve and often over thirty officers are patrolling our city.

We deliver police services in a variety of ways. You will see not only the familiar Beat Officer in the black and white patrol car, but Officers on foot, riding bicycles or motorcycles throughout the city.

Our Department is broken into three Divisions each with different missions and roles,  but all have the same goal of providing quality police service to our community.Click here for CALEA Site
