Our Community Programs

The Berkeley Police Department provides classes, programs and other services to our community.

These programs are intended to foster a positive relationship between the police and the community.

Programs such as the Police Explorers, Berkeley Boosters (Police Activities League) or D.A.R.E. provide activities for our community's youth.

Our Police-Citizen Academy allows you to learn more about our Police Department and how to effectively use it's services.

The Volunteers in Police Service or V.I.P.S. is a new program, which enlists the aid of citizens to volunteer in various positions throughout the department.

In addition, our employees provide hundreds of hours of volunteer service to our community in the form of programs such as Christmas in April or the Turkey Basket giveaway.
