"A word from our sponsor"

Welcome once again to another HAO site. If you have visited our site in the past, you will notice that we have undergone a few "major" changes.

HAO has changed drastically, please check the news section in order to find out about these changes.

We hope you have enjoyed you visit here and welcome any comments you may have regarding our website and or any services you may interested in.

HAO

Our Mission

HAO was founded to create a safe arena for information exchange between computer users with the common bond of a thirst for knowledge.

Despite the concept of the social masses, Hackers are NOT criminals. Hackers are merely users who are not satisfied with being told what they can perform on their computers or what the limits of their systems are.

Hackers have the ability to push computer science and computer technology to the extreme. To put it simply, without "Hackers" you would not be reading this statement as you are now, for there would not be a computer in your home or office, nor would their be an internet as we know it today. Hackers have made it all a possibility.

Organizational Profile

Who we are
HAO - Uniting the Underground ; is an organization that is comprised of a wide array of computer users, from programmers to journalists. But we all have a common bond, the desire for more.

Hackers vs. Society
Have you ever stopped to wonder why society has labeled the term "hacker" as a derogatory term? Is it because of ignorance, or maybe fear. Fear that there are those of us that refuse to be told the a machine has limits and that it is unfeasible to stretch those limits.

In fact, I feel the term hacker is synomious with the terms "programmer" and "network administrator", etc. For in fact do not these individuals themselves have to be hackers in order to do their respective jobs? Why are they not sought out and chastised by society? Is it because they get paid to do a job that we do for fun?

Fact: Most hackers have the same if not more education in the fields they choose to follow. Society says that you must earn a degree in something to be considered a professional, yet how many technical support technicians do you laugh at?

Hacker Genocide
Ever asked a question, whether it be a valid question that just has you boggled or a hypothetical[ question, say on an IRC network, and been "Flamed" for doing so?

Why do we, as hackers, choose to humiliate and make fun of those that do not know or understand the same as we do? (Yes, I too am guilty of these and have flamed my fair share, but this make me a better hacker?)

Hacking gives you knowledge and with knowledge comes power, for knowledge is power, but if we do not share our information with others like us, then truly what good is knowledge we have, essentially we are committing genocide

The Time is Now
The time has come for "hackers" across the globe to decide to band together, to share information and resources, to unite

THE TIME HAS COME TO

UNITE THE UNDERGROUND
