MISSION STATEMENT:
Increase readiness by employing effective methodology to:
- retain quality soldiers;
- transition soldiers into the USAR Selective Reserve;
- stabilize the force to meet the end strength objective;
- reduce the outlay of resources to attract, access and train quality soldiers.
MISSION ESSENTIAL TASK LIST (METL):
- Proponent for the Office of the Chief, Army Reserve, Retention and Transition Program
- Publish,monitor and validate retention, transition and warrant officer mission objectives
- Provide Office of the Chief, Army Reserve, Retention and Transition Program Regulatory and Policy Guidance
- Identify and minimize retention and transition distractors
- Create, implement and sustain retention and transition recognition programs
- Encourage development and implementation of new and proactive efforts to retain and transition soldiers
