Veracode Spams

We received half a dozen copies / complaints about this mail. Not only was it sent to a long list of people who didn't attend the conference, it was also sent to general contact style addresses for web sites, not specific people. The redacted links include some designed for user tracking.

Shortly after this happened, Veracode issued an apology:

Please accept our apologies for the recent email you received from Veracode regarding the SC Mobile Device Management Conference held in the United Kingdom on June 23rd.  This email was sent to you in error.

Veracode uses a marketing automation system for our email campaign execution, and as part of our email follow-up to this European tradeshow there was a user error and the follow-up email was sent to our entire contact list.

Again, our sincere apologies for this accidental communication.  We appreciate your patience and would be glad to address any of your concerns.  Also, if you wish to opt-out of future Veracode marketing communications please let me know and I will communicate that to our marketing team.
