In a subsequent article, one of his lines in a chat log shared with The Verge just how bad it was. "I have drunkenly sexually assaulted or raped women -- the exact number of which I am currently determining." One media outlet has spoken with over half a dozen victims and corroborated their allegations. This news was surprising to many, including several of his close friends, as he was thought to be an advocate for and ally of women.
